Dögg Guðmundsdóttir
Dögg is the designer in the team and the product manager. She is an experienced designer who often seeks inspiration from nature and Icelandic cultural heritage.
Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, who lives and works in Copenhagen, studied industrial design at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan (1992-96) from where she moved to Denmark and learned product and graphic design at the Danish Design School (1996-1998). Later she obtained a master’s degree in design from KADK (2011) with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability. She also has a teaching certificate in art education from LHÍ (2021).
Her design has been produced and exhibited at design exhibitions and museums around the world. Dögg has extensive and profound experience with processing various raw materials and her strength lies in production, design and development.
Dögg’s diverse design reflects experiments with new materials from Icelandic raw materials and her works have a strong connection to Icelandic cultural heritage. She draws inspiration from the diversity of the Icelandic landscape and old craftsmanship and connects them in a new way. Among the producers that Dögg works with are Ligne Roset, FDB møbler and Designhouse Stockholm.
